Jennifer Anniston was born as Jennifer Joanna Aniston on February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California. She spent her childhood in Greece but relocated to New York City. Her parents were divorced when she was 9 years old and her mother raised her solely.
Anniston joined Rudolf Sterner School’s drama club at the age of 11. She practiced her acting ability and her passion for art at the said school. Anniston began her professional training in the New York School of Performing Arts. Before graduating in New York, she appeared in the productions Dancing on Checker’s Grave and For Dear Life.
Jennifer achieved her first television appearance in the series Molloy in 1989. Moreover, she also appeared in the movies, The Edge, Ferris Bueller, Herman’s Head and Friends Like These. Jennifer was highly recognized when played the role of Rachel Green in the television sitcom Friends in 1994. She has received numerous award in the said sitcom including Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award.
Anniston achieved a successful movie career and has starred in different Hollywood productions. She dated Brad Pitt in May 1998. The two had their marriage on July 29, 2000 in Malibu. Their relationship ended on January 6, 2005. Aniston filed the divorce on March 25, 2005 and it was finalized on October 2, 2005. During this time, there are speculation that Pitt has been unfaithful to Annistion because of his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie.
After her divorce she was reportedly seeing Vince Vaughn, her co-star in The Break Up. She also dated the British model Paul Sculfor for sometime in 2007. The actress also dated John Mayer in February 2008. The couple broke up but eventually resumed with their relationship and broke up again in march 2009.
